This prevents you from wasting your propane and prevents gas leaks too. Weather is not a worry when you get some overnight rain, there are drainage holes in the burner pan to make sure that water will empty before the next use. An optional glass windscreen is also available to help protect the flame from blowing out on an extra windy day.
